Zal Dastur is a communications strategist, founder, podcast host, and advisor with more than a decade of experience across entrepreneurship, sales strategy, public speaking, climate storytelling, and founder advisory. His work sits at the intersection of storytelling, commercial strategy, founder positioning, and decision-making, with a particular focus on helping leaders translate complex ideas into narratives that resonate with customers, investors, and broader ecosystems.
He is the Founder and Managing Director of Grange Management, where he works with founders and leadership teams on communication, positioning, storytelling, and go-to-market clarity. He is particularly strong at bringing structure to complex founder narratives, identifying the core message behind technical or fast-moving businesses, and helping leaders communicate with clarity under pressure.
Through Impact at Scale, Zal has become a familiar voice in climate and sustainability conversations, engaging founders, investors, operators, and ecosystem leaders on the people, ideas, and market shifts shaping climate innovation.
At Antares Ventures, Zal serves as Senior Advisor for PR & Communications, supporting the firm’s communications strategy, branding, media visibility, and platform-building efforts.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Zal is currently the Founder and Managing Director of Grange Management, a Singapore-based advisory practice focused on helping founders and leadership teams communicate more clearly, sell better, and make stronger strategic decisions. He is also the Host of Impact at Scale, a climate and sustainability podcast focused on conversations with founders, investors, and community builders shaping planet-positive business and climate innovation.
Alongside his communications and podcasting work, Zal has held advisory, mentoring, and ecosystem roles across climate and entrepreneurship. He serves as an Official Nominator for The Earthshot Prize, identifying and nominating world-class climate innovations, and has advised or mentored organizations including Climate Salad, Techbridge Market, WWF, Tech in Asia School, Harvard Global Education Movement, and multiple sustainability and venture programs.
Earlier in his career, Zal built a broad commercial and entrepreneurial foundation across sales, strategy, recruitment, public speaking, and startup advisory. He co-founded and led Lucap, a Singapore-based platform helping companies convert digital channels into qualified leads and customer conversations, and later held strategic sales, recruitment, and market advisory roles across technology, sustainability, and venture-backed companies.
EDUCATION
Zal holds a Master’s degree in International Business and Marketing from Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Melbourne, with additional studies in Political Science at Western University.
