Mahesha is a finance professional with experience across venture capital and private markets. He brings over a decade of experience across venture capital, investor relations, fund operations, and private markets.
At Antares, Mahesha leads the firm’s Investor Relations function, including fundraising, relationships with existing and prospective limited partners, and the broader investor experience. As Chief of Staff, he works closely with the Managing Partner, partners, and advisors on strategic initiatives across the firm, including fund formation, fund administration, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution. He also oversees the firm’s Communications function.
Mahesha brings a combination of institutional fund experience and venture capital operating experience, with a career spanning fund administration, LP engagement, fundraising, and firm-building.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Antares, Mahesha spent eight years at Golden Gate Ventures. He joined the firm in 2018 as Manager, Fund Operations & Administration before moving into Investor Relations in 2020 and subsequently becoming Head of Client Relations.
During his time at Golden Gate Ventures, Mahesha was responsible for developing new investor relationships, managing relationships with existing investors, and supporting the needs of the firm’s LP base. His responsibilities also extended across fundraising, fund formation, fund administration, and investor reporting.
Earlier in his career, Mahesha was a Fund Controller at Partners Group, where he worked across private equity, real estate, and infrastructure funds. His responsibilities included fund valuations, management and performance fee calculations, financial reporting, performance analysis, investor queries, and the preparation of financial information for investors. Mahesha began his professional career with EY in Singapore.
EDUCATION
Mahesha holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Singapore Management University, where he graduated cum laude.
