He joined Samsung in 1998 and spent over 9 years in various positions such as Engineer, Product Manager, and Business Development Manager. He led the planning, technology development, and business development of mobile operator-driven digital media distribution solutions. This helped him gain deep insights into technology innovation and market strategy.
His leadership roles at NBC Universal from 2010 – 2013, including Director of Digital Operations, further showcase his ability to bridge media and technology, driving digital transformation. Proven by led development and operation of digital media platform team for international markets (+50 countries)
Since 2013, as Head of Europe Investments at Samsung Venture Investment Co, Jong has successfully led strategic investments, identifying and nurturing high-potential startups across diverse industries.
Jong holds BS and MS in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He also has an MBA degree from London Business School
