Ad is a former CEO and seasoned executive. He has worked in global businesses in the Electronics, Telecom, and Enterprise IT markets. With a robust skill set, including Strategic Partnerships, Unified Communications, Business Strategy, Telecommunications, Go-to-market Strategy, and more.
Ad has been an angel investor and startup advisor for over 10 years, focusing on deeptech across all industry verticals. He has been a venture partner with Entrepreneur First and is involved in the Singapore MIT Alliance for Research & tech.
Ad currently and continues work as an Advisor at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research & Technology Centre and startup. Demonstrates his passion for helping the startup develop its business model as well as expand its operations, provides strategic insights, and fosters collaborations between academia and industry.
From 2017 – 2023, Ad was a Venture Partner at Entrepreneur First. He provided strategic guidance and mentorship to emerging tech startups, leveraging his extensive industry experience to drive innovation and growth.
From 2003 – 2008, Ad worked as CEO of Philips PBX. During this time, he led the global Philips PBX business, culminating in its sale to NEC from Japan. He also designed and implemented effective leadership development plans.
From 1996 – 1998, Ad was a VP at Richardson Electronics Europe. He led strategic initiatives and operational improvements within the company. He was also responsible for EnerTel in The Netherlands, competing with the local incumbent.
Ad holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, a Master of Business Administration degree from INSEAD and SEP, business from Standford.
